Spring 2014 in  St. John’s, Newfoundland     We have experienced a really bad winter with 4 months of snow! And at the end of April the temperatures were still around zero although our huge continual deposits of snow suddenly disappeared on a warm day or two in the middle of the month, -to reveal our spring flowers had been flowering under the snow banks!   Well, ...isn’t nature wonderful!

June 2014:  Why do we have to wait so long?  this year?  Maybe it’s the effect of the many Icebergs off the coast, and

the sea water temperature is much lower this year!
